Spacious wardrobe in a small room: storage features
Content
The issue of compact storage is highly relevant among the owners of one-room apartments. What if there are no extra meters in the house, but at the same time there is a great desire to place all your favorite clothes in a specially equipped dressing room? Naturally, in such conditions it is impossible to allocate a lot of space or even a separate room for storage of things. But then, with the help of modern furniture and built-in structures, you can make a very compact, but roomy dressing room, even in an apartment with one room.
Wardrobe instead of pantry
Now in one-room new buildings, as a rule, they do not make storage rooms, due to their uselessness. In the old model Khrushchevs, almost everyone has a small pantry in the corridor or room, and sometimes even two.
If you have a pantry, you solve two problems at once. First, you have a welcome wardrobe, the second - there will be no place for storing trash in your house, which means that there will be no trash. The only thing worth noting is that with this option, it will be necessary to take care of ventilation in the pantry and good lighting.
If we talk about the design of the dressing room, then choose light colors for decoration, put a good laminate on the floor, make a beautiful door. To visually expand the space, use mirrors, as an additional lighting LED backlight. All this will make your wardrobe an ideal place to store clothes made of delicate fabrics.
The closet door will also be used to place your belongings. You can attach hooks for scarves, bags and scarves, belts and ties to it. You can use special devices for glasses and clutches, as well as any other accessories.
Part of the room under the wardrobe
If space allows, then under the dressing room you can allocate part of the room, about 3-4 sq.m. Such a wardrobe will fit not only racks for things, but also a large mirror so that you can try on clothes right there. Plasterboard partitions are perfect for organizing such a dressing room - they are thin and take up very little space. For the resulting room, it is worth choosing the right lighting, for example, installing a sconce on the walls or making spotlights in the ceiling.
To equip the dressing room, you can use special metal frames that are made so that you can place a maximum of clothes and shoes on a small area. Such systems are not bulky, they look light and modern.
In addition to plasterboard partitions, wardrobe sliding doors can be used to create a wardrobe. If your apartment has a free recess, it’s enough to just make wide sashes from wall to wall. Or this space can be separated by a screen.
Sliding wardrobe to a ceiling
Instead of wardrobe equipment, you can get by with a simple sliding wardrobe that is straight up to the ceiling. Depending on the area and layout of the room, such a cabinet can be either angular or ordinary rectangular. If there is a niche in the room, then the sliding wardrobe will perfectly fill it.
Needless to say, properly laid out things that have their place for storage for a long time will retain their original appearance, will not wrinkle and deteriorate. The wardrobe room solves all these problems, especially if it is quite bright and spacious.
Practical storage
Sometimes making a full dressing room does not allow the available space. In small one-room apartments about 30 square meters. It’s also problematic to put a simple closet, to say nothing of creating a small room for storing clothes. Then compact storage systems that can be marked on walls and doors will become an acceptable alternative. Such systems include various wardrobe trunks, textile folding shelves, hooks and many other modules.
