Garden arrangement: how to approach it?

To make the garden truly beautiful, it’s not enough just to look at the catalog of plants and read reviews of other people's gardens. You also need to apply your imagination, combining a variety of elements into something solid and beautiful. Usually in the general concept appear:
  • paths that not only lead somewhere, but also decorate the garden;
  • lawns on which it’s so good to lie with a book in the summer or have a picnic;
  • plants, which, in fact, make the garden a garden;
  • decorative sculptures, which can be both high and pathos, and very simple and elegant.
The main thing in combining all of this is not to forget a single trifle and become familiar with all the varieties.

Tracks

The tracks have a main purpose - to lead where you need to, but there is a side - to participate in the overall composition. Based on this, one should choose a material for them: so that it is both reliable and beautiful. It could be:
  • Concrete. The most boring of the options, but very reliable. If you work hard and fill it properly, it will last for many years, resistant to absolutely everything - from winter cold to endless autumn rains.
  • A natural stone. Roads, but very beautiful. Allows you to create any patterns and shapes - at least a path leading to an abandoned castle, at least small asymmetric pieces of white marble. It is not washed away by water, does not suffer from cold. The most reliable.
  • Tile. Any tile is very beautiful and allows you to lay out patterns, but at the same time it is less durable than stone. It can be broken, grass can break through in the cracks. If placed correctly, she will also serve reliably.
  • Tree. The most short-lived material, which, due to its environmental friendliness, easily rots and molds. However, for several years he may well please the eye with beauty and nobleness of color.
  • Lawn. The rolled lawn can be laid out in the form of paths - this will turn the garden into a real fairy forest. Although, of course, you can use the lawn only for footpaths.
  • Bulk materials. Coarse sand, pebbles, gravel are very cheap, and can look quite good, especially if they are additionally painted. Their only minus is that over time they are washed away by water and little remains of the paths.
  • Lamps. The path of the fixtures is expensive, but it looks absolutely magical. In addition, she could not stumble even in the dead of night. The color can be chosen independently, as well as the shape of the fixtures.
  • Plastic. The cheapest and cheapest looking material that will quickly fade in the sun. However, its reliability is very high, and it has a great variety of colors, so that in the face of a lack of funds, it can be very useful.
With the right material, paths can be so beautiful that it doesn't matter where they lead.

Lawns

There are several main types of lawns:
  • Ground grass. It is formed from perennial herbs that grow uniformly, forming a single whole field. At the same time, you can’t walk on it, but you can completely forget about sunbathing in the summer. Care is required all the time.
  • Garden and ground lawn. It looks less uniform and is formed from herbs that are more resistant to mechanical influences. You can lie on it, you can run on it, and special care is not required - unless you cut it from time to time.
  • Meadow lawn. Form from existing herbs by adding a cereal mixture. The lawn turns out resistant to everything and unpretentious, although not so smart.
  • Moorish lawn. The composition includes flowering honey plants. You need to cut it only twice a year, any soil will do. The only thing the lawn is demanding on, all of which looks like a flower lawn, is moisture - watering should be regular.
  • Sports lawn. It is simply impossible to trample it.
You can also use a rolled lawn - it is as green and beautiful as possible, but it requires effort when laying.

Plants and sculptures

Even with the most beautiful lawn and wonderful paths, the garden would not be complete without plants. It can be:
  • trees that provide shade and create a general sense of comfort;
  • bushes, which can become an indispensable tool for zoning, as well as turn into green garden sculptures, if they are bizarrely cut;
  • grasses which can whimsically cover those places where paths and a lawn have not reached;
  • flowers that can become a magnificent decoration of flower beds.
Depending on the style in which the garden is designed and what conditions are in it, different plants will suit it. In comparison, garden sculptures are not so whimsical. They can be:
  • home-made - with a known talent, they will look more original than any purchased ones, and they will be cheaper, and they will ensure the creative process;
  • purchased - and there are a lot of options, from cunning garden gnomes to tall statues imitating antique ones.
The main thing is a general idea, concept, design. That is why, before starting to design a garden, it is necessary to sit down and make a plan - where will be the path, where are the flowers and where are the sculptures. Planning is the key to success.
