The Art Nouveau bedroom is a combination of sophistication and original modern techniques. Unusual techniques are often used here: “interesting” curtains, ornaments or wallpapers, zoning, original furniture, etc.
Features and specifics of designing a bedroom in modern style
Art Nouveau, as one of the areas of art, is more than 100 years old. But, despite this, more and more nuances constantly appear in it (the design of the chandelier, decor items is changing, new wallpapers are used, etc.), which literally force this style to strictly observe the latest fashion trends. Art Nouveau does not have a single focus and is characterized in different countries by its national traditions and even differs in name:

But in the domestic version of Art Nouveau there are no such divisions. It is customary for us to use the so-called classic or modern style solutions.

A variety of materials are ideally suited for wall decoration in the modern interior: liquid wallpaper, light cork, paint, etc. You can also use small wooden panels with an unusual pattern, but the wood should be of the highest quality.
Ceiling

However, one should not forget about the moderation of colors in the decoration, and also it is not recommended to abuse decorations - a few small lamps mounted in the ceiling surface will be enough. Not a bad solution would be a bed with a headboard in the form of simple geometric shapes or with the presence of curtains and volumetric sides along the entire perimeter of the mattress.
Note: such a side is very convenient in that you can put a cup on it or put a book on it, and a blanket with pillows will not fall, but it is not very comfortable to get up from such a bed.
In addition to the bed, the room must also have other modern bedroom furniture: a chest of drawers, bedside tables, a wardrobe and ottomans. For a harmonious combination of all objects (decorative objects, curtains, wallpaper, etc.) it is important to consider the size of the room.
As a decor, a floral ornament, beautiful curtains, a small house plant in a tub and an original chandelier or sconce are also suitable. You can complement the atmosphere with an armchair, the shape and style of which is fully consistent with the overall style of the interior.
Another characteristic feature of Art Nouveau is smooth surfaces (for example, wallpaper without a protruding pattern) and the absence of excessive pomposity, which allows you to maintain the necessary design rigor. This applies not only to furniture, but also to other accessories and decor. Although you can use an unusual design - within reason.

Despite the obligatory dim lighting, the Art Nouveau bedroom is often decorated with large window openings. The sun's rays do not disturb the overall interior.
But chandeliers, sconces or floor lamps are best chosen from frosted glass and always original shapes. To create a special mood, color chandeliers (no more than two pieces) are quite suitable. They should be dim with a slightly noticeable light.
Note: one of the latest trends in the Art Nouveau style is lighting fixtures made from natural materials such as light wood, marble, plexiglass, etc.
In addition, chandeliers and lamps in the form of animals or unusual plants are often used as decorations.
Accessories
Art Nouveau decoration elements can be very diverse. The main thing is not to clutter up the room with them. Such an interior does not tolerate colorful wallpapers, clutter and excessive pomposity. This is very important, otherwise instead of an elegant bedroom you can get a "vulgar" and repulsive room.
Curtains deserve special attention - do not choose too voluminous and bright products.
The materials used to create the accessories are usually wood, metal, stone, glass or porcelain. It looks very nice in the modern style and several small mirrors on the wall in the original frame, as well as large-format light printing and wallpaper.
