The interior of the orange bedroom (35 photos): good examples of design
Content
The orange color in the interior is a source of warmth, vivacity and cheerful mood. It would seem that the design of the bedroom should not provide for such a gamut, because this room is intended for relaxation. But with the right selection of shades, a combination of furniture and decor, the orange bedroom is able to satisfy aesthetic and physiological needs: to smooth out fatigue after a working day, create a romantic mood in the evening, give a bright charge of vigor after waking up.
Rules for using orange in the bedroom
The assumption that the orange color is something bright and festive will not be entirely true. It has many shades: dark and light, catchy and pastel, transparent-light and velvet-deep. Even bright yellow-orange colors will be appropriate and harmonious in the bedroom, if you adhere to the recommendations shared by designers:
- Calm orange shades can act as the general background of the bedroom. The design looks advantageous, where the wallpaper, curtains and decor are designed in a single gamut of transitional colors: from yellow-orange to brown-chocolate.
- Bright orange is best used fragmentarily. Let it be wallpaper at the head of the bed, decor, curtains or carpets.
- Saturated shades are unsuitable in the interior of small rooms, as they visually hide the free space.
- The property “reduce” the space will be useful for visual correction of long narrow rooms, if you use bright color on the narrow sides of the room, and neutral warm shades on wide.
- Most justified is the use of orange shades in a room that has a lack of natural light: in rooms located on the north side.
Oversaturation of living space with bright colors is undesirable for quick-tempered irritable people. But this does not mean that you will have to give up your favorite color. In the interior there is always a place for bright design elements, if diluted with light neutral shades.
Floor, ceiling, walls, furniture or decor - color options
An orange bedroom cannot have a catchy saturated color from floor to ceiling, otherwise rest in it will be difficult. How is it better to use the orange gamut so that it does not have an exciting effect and bring aesthetic pleasure?
Walls. Orange wallpapers can be used on the entire surface of the walls, if they have light shades of orange and complemented by discreet patterns. You shouldn’t refuse a monochromatic bright color, but you should glue the wallpaper in such a way that from the berth they are out of sight. The wall at the head of the bed is best suited for this.
The ceilings. Modern finishing materials allow you to perform any design of the ceiling, including multi-colored. A plain glossy ceiling in the interior will help to correct the low height of the room, but it should not be completely orange, so as not to have the exact opposite effect. Small contrasting inserts are allowed, drawing.
Floor. The orange floor in the apartment does not have to have a clean open color. In the interior of the bedroom, warm woody brown-peach shades of the flooring and a small fluffy honey-colored bedside rug will look great.
If the design of the bedroom provides for the installation of orange furniture, then the walls, floor and ceiling are better to maintain in a neutral color scheme, otherwise an excess of brightness will result.
Decor. Decor elements bring a special charm to the interior, but do not overdo it with decorations in a single color scheme. Let the interior have a variety of colors, and then it will be harmonious.
Companion Colors for the Orange Bedroom
What color combinations will be relevant in the interior of the bedroom so that it does not turn into a tasteless set of disparate items? Developing the design of the bedroom, with the selection of additional color will have to work.
- Shades of brown are a great complement to an oriental-style orange bedroom.
- White goes well with orange, but it has the ability to enhance brightness and contrast in the interior that is not quite appropriate for a bedroom. It is allowed to use not pure colors, but their shades: white-cream, alabaster, the color of baked milk, ivory.
- Looks great blue in a duet with orange. But, as with white, this combination has excessive contrast. Therefore, you should choose a gamut of light shades: yellow-orange and aquamarine, apricot and turquoise, honey and pale purple.
- Delicious combinations create a tandem of orange and green, but the brightness of the shades also needs to be regulated, refusing pure colors in favor of a more calm gamut of olive, pistachio.
- Gray tones create in the orange interior the very tranquility that is necessary for the bedroom.
Orange mood for a comfortable stay
Professional room design is based on no more than four primary colors. For the bedroom, you should limit yourself to two shades for the overall design of the room and add two more as small color spots. The following combinations of decoration and decor will look good:
- A tandem of wallpaper in orange and green (pistachio, olive, etc.), brown-beige curtains, textiles in white-cream and chocolate colors.
- White-cream walls with an orange pattern, brown-beige textile, yellow-orange curtains.
- Gray-blue walls with the addition of orange inserts, brown-beige textiles, curtains in white and blue tones.
- Yellow-orange wallpaper, curtains and textiles sand-cream shades.
- Walls with an orange-black pattern (only at the head of the bed), wallpaper with a neutral tint, curtains in yellow-orange hue, textile in gray-black-orange tones.
- Wallpaper muted orange shade, terracotta curtains, beige and brown textile.
- Soft peach wallpapers, chocolate-colored curtains, textiles in cream and light brown shades.
The design of the orange bedroom can not be limited in the use of a range of shades, if the lighting is properly organized. Subdued light conceals excessive brightness. And then in the evening the situation allows you to relax, and in the morning it charges with energy and vigor.
