How to make a screen yourself

The simplest option is a wooden frame system with fabric webs.For work you will need: 4x4 cm wooden blocks, drill, screws with loops, sandpaper, putty, paint, fabric of the desired color, furniture stapler or special cloves.

Work stages

We prepare the bars for the frame at the rate of 6 bars 180 cm long and 6 bars 50 cm each. The surfaces of the workpieces are sanded to smoothness.

Frame assembly: long bars are stacked in pairs at a distance of 0.5 m. Three short jumpers are laid between long parts at regular intervals (we retreat 0.15 m from the edges first). Jumpers are fixed from the ends of the bars with the help of long screws. In this way, three wings are mounted.

The frame of the mobile partition is processed with putty - bumps and cracks are eliminated. After drying, the flaps are again sanded with fine-grained sandpaper. The frame is coated with paint of the desired shade.

The fabric is being cut: six rectangles 152x50 cm in size are cut. One and a half centimeters along the perimeters of all the blanks are laid on the allowances. Allowances are tucked and sewn up on a typewriter.

The final stage. Sashes are connected by loops. The fabric is attached to each side of the sash with the tucked side using decorative furniture studs or a stapler.

Mobile models of partitions

These models have a rigid frame. Profiles are made of different materials: steel, aluminum, wood, plastic.
