Ladder for the pool: useful information for everyone (27 photos)
Content
It would seem that the ladder for the pool can be represented only in one form and configuration. The difference lies only in the number of steps and the dimensions of the structure itself. This is actually not the case. The choice of this device for stationary pools and inflatable elements should be carried out carefully, taking into account the smallest nuances. Not only comfort, but also safety depends on how competently this device is selected.
Stair descent is an integral element that guarantees the safe operation of the pool itself. This is an important structural element, not without decorative value. The installation of a ladder descent of any type is possible only if the depth of the water bowl reaches at least one meter. If the water tank is smaller than the specified value, installing a ladder is not advisable.
Ladders for frame pools
The most reliable ladder for the frame pool is Roman. The design is suitable for water points that are located outdoors. These are massive elements made of reinforced concrete.
A ladder for an inflatable pool or for stationary species can also be independent. If necessary, the product can be dismantled, moved to another point or transform the structure depending on the situation.
The most reliable designs are metal (aluminum, stainless steel). The most budget models are plastic.
Such products are extremely rarely made from wood and other materials. It is also worth noting that, regardless of the size and number of steps, the stairs for the pool can be one-sided or two-sided, represented by a standard stepladder or full-fledged wide steps. All major aspects of the design configuration are predetermined by the requirements of potential buyers.
Roman stairs
The two-way Roman staircase and the pool itself are one. There are several ways to install fasteners. Most often use installation "glasses" from "stainless steel". "Glasses" are mounted in the center of the anchor, and the stair elements themselves are fixed on them. The lower segment of the stairs sinks to the bottom, resting against it.
Another option: the use of stops to the sides. The two-sided construction is solid. Some experts prefer to fix only support elements pre-mounted in the "body" of the side.
The number of steps directly depends on how deep the pool itself is. Usually enough 3 - 7 sites. Each step should be covered with a special anti-slip substance. Today, almost all models (even the most primitive ones) are treated with similar compositions.
Also for safety, the length of these elements plays an important role. Excessively short elements can also lead to unwanted slipping, causing a traumatic situation. Moreover, very short steps are trite inconvenient in operation.
Ladders for prefabricated pools
For prefabricated pools, the two-sided construction of alloy profiles or embossed plastic elements is most often used. Externally, such products often resemble a stepladder. Stability is achieved due to the fact that one end of the stairs rests on the ground, and the other on the bottom of the tank with water.
The designs are pretty mobile. If necessary, they can be moved to another, more profitable place or completely removed for some time (for example, if the device is used for a summer inflatable pool or the "bowl" is used only for a relatively short period of time).
Key aspects
If the pool is a bulk type, a two-way ladder for a stainless steel pool is preferable. It should be as wide as possible, the railing will be mounted directly to the board.
It is not always possible to mount an integral structure (as for indoor pools). In this case, it is more appropriate to purchase separately handrails and steps.
The main requirements for stainless steel structures:
- Any metal structure (like a wooden staircase for a pool) is equipped with handrails without fail;
- The distance between the steps should not exceed 25 centimeters;
- On the steps should be placed anti-slip coating, and the entire surface is treated with special compounds that prevent corrosion;
- Any design for both an inflatable pool and a stationary pool must support a lot of weight.
Double-sided or single-sided construction can be supplemented with both monolithic and separate handrails. Pipes should be wide enough, but not overly massive. Design selection largely requires consideration of the decorative qualities of the product. The staircase descent should organically fit into the design, complement the pool and the platform near it.
Analogs from plastic
A do-it-yourself ladder for a pool can be installed if all the accessories are really of good quality. Plastic products are considered the most budget, but the most short-lived material. If stainless steel is quite resistant to fungi or mold, even very good plastic is very vulnerable in this regard.
It is not possible to process plastic in such a way as to increase its performance many times over. Otherwise, such designs would be very expensive, but would not last as long as a stainless steel.
The situation is similar with wood products. In some cases, wooden steps very effectively complement the design of the pool (especially on the street), but they are completely not durable.
Separate categories of slopes
There are several types of descents into the pool, which differ significantly from the above "classic" types. Creating a do-it-yourself pool with a platform and interesting accessories, each apartment owner wants to make the design not only comfortable and safe, but also exclusive.
Perhaps the most interesting descent for the pools can be called the construction of the balneological type. Installing stairs in a pool of this kind will not be easy.
This is due to the fact that the design is supplemented by built-in nozzles. Their task: to massage the lumbar and vertebral spine of the human ridge. They can be used both for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes, strengthening the health of swimmers.
It is also worth mentioning the slopes for children. They have more steps. They are much smaller than the "adult" site. In addition, the design is always supplemented by low railings, and the interval between the steps is minimal.
Recently, manufacturers are trying to please potential buyers with interesting models for inflatable pools. Usually they are very mobile and light.Frames retain their strength characteristics, but differ in type from the same stainless steel or plastic counterparts.
About successful selection
It is worth once again to focus on the handrails. The standard height of the structure is one and a half meters. Ideally, part of the stepladder should be above the water (although ¼), and the remaining segments should be immersed inland.
Choosing a ladder, it is worth following the following criteria:
- Product strength;
- Build quality of the structure itself;
- Ergonomic
- The comfort of the descent;
- Comfortable lift;
- The material for the product must be practical and durable;
- The optimality of the mounting method;
- General safety;
- Dimensions of the structure;
- Pricing policy of the goods.
You must understand that too cheap a product in this particular case cannot be of high quality. Poor material, dubious assembly, or an ill-conceived unstable design pose a direct threat to human health. That is why it is always worth giving preference only to really good models, the ergonomics and performance of which are not in doubt.
