Attic, housing directly under the roof, designed with a deliberate disregard for such trifles as the ceiling and walls. Initially, creative people settled in such poorly equipped rooms, but the advantages of this style were quickly appreciated by people with good earnings - in combination with stylish furniture and modern appliances, the loft turned out to be incredibly convenient.

The room itself should give the impression of abandonment and scruffiness, while it has a lot of air and light - since it is a factory type, the windows in it are large and wide, sometimes from floor to ceiling, even walls can be windows.

It can be really a factory premises or a rather expensive imitation - the common features are the same.

How to curtain and what?

Curtains in the loft style as an element that brings warmth and comfort to this style are not provided, as it is rather cold and hard style. However, there are valid patterns for comfort.
For a clear loft, blinds are optimal, which also protect against too intense sunlight. This is the best option for maintaining minimalism and overall mood.

However, fabric curtains are also acceptable, and it should be remembered that no decorations - frills, pickups, fringes - are used in this style. Fabric curtains in the loft interior, even with all the design restrictions, will bring a little soft lines and comfort.

The following curtain models are recommended:

• narrow curtains made of dense materials that will be draped with clear vertical columns;
• the simplest curtains on metal rings up to the floor;
• Roman curtains in a wide variety of variations;
• Japanese, similar to a panel (special eaves are bought for them).

What should the curtains look like?

The loft style is characterized by the clarity and conciseness of lines, this is an industrial style, although its use for dwellings has slightly softened the general mood.

For curtains in the loft style, no special skill is required - this is a piece of plain material, grommets can be put along the upper edge - this can be done independently or in the workshop, in any case it is very inexpensive.
