Curtains "day-night": popular options for execution (20 photos)
Content
Roller blinds "day-night" are a simple sunscreen design that has a modern appearance and is very convenient to use both day and night, unlike all the usual curtains.
These roleta are made in such a way that light and dark stripes alternating to them allow you to control the amount of light penetrating into the room. So during very sunny days and at night, the curtain can be completely opaque, and in inclement weather, on the contrary, leave as much space as possible for the passage of light on it. This property is achieved through the use of a double fabric canvas, located on a special design, which allows you to easily shift these fabrics relative to each other without special difficulties.
Zebra roll-up curtains (day-night) are one of the latest developments in the field of sun-protection constructions and are not inferior to double Roman curtains in their design. They are made from various types of fabric, which allows everyone to choose this type of curtain to their liking.
The practicality of this roller blind is achieved thanks to the special coating of the canvas: Teflon impregnation has excellent dust-repellent properties. The only prerequisite for the maintenance of such curtains is periodic wet cleaning.
Type of main structure
Today, day-night curtains, which are also called fabric blinds, can be made in two main options for design:
- in an open roll form, in which the folding fabric will not be hidden from the eyes;
- in cassette roll form, in which the curtain will be cleaned in a special protective box when closed.
Both in the first and in the second embodiment, the fabric web is fixed on the shaft and hangs up to the windowsill itself. In the lower part of the canvas, a weighting tube is located across the entire width of the fabric, which also turns when the blinds are wrapped during rotation of the main shaft. Using this principle, the curtain curtain is moved and the double day-night curtains open or close. The shaft rotation mechanism in this design is also very simple and similar to that used in conventional casement models. Open and cassette blinds are controlled by a chain.
Fabric material
Blinds "day-night" can be made of various materials. So in most cases, roller blinds are made of silk, linen, cotton and various synthetic types of fabric. In this case, we are talking about the opaque part of the curtains. The advantage of natural materials is their environmental friendliness and safety for humans. Such zebra blinds can no doubt be used in children's rooms and bedrooms. Synthetic materials are more durable and wear-resistant, which allows to increase their service life by several times. These types of shutters are more suitable for office rooms or living rooms in the apartment.
Transparent strips that have day-night roll-up blinds are made of ordinary mesh material. It is similar in execution to the usual white or color tulle for everyone. These elements can be made both with a picture, and without it at all.
Installation of roller blinds
Day-night blinds can be attached to plastic windows in several ways. The first of these involves fastening small and lightweight structures to the window frame using double-sided tape with an increased level of adhesion. The fastening of such a roller blind of a sufficiently large size is carried out to the vertical or horizontal internal parts of the window opening. To do this, you can use both aluminum and plastic plates, which are mounted at the base with self-tapping screws.
Usually the question of how to hang this roller blind, even a not very experienced person will not arise. Installation instructions and all necessary details are included with them. If there is no confidence in the correctness and quality of self-assembly, then employees of the manufacturer can perform this service at an additional cost.
Curtains pleated "day-night"
A little different from the usual version of the design are blinds-pleated “day-night”. In this case, the system consists of three profiles made of anodized aluminum with fabric webs located between them. When lowering or raising the curtains, the fabric is folded into folds specially created during the manufacture, eventually forming an “accordion”.
Distinctive features of this version of the blinds on the windows is their more accurate appearance, since in the assembled state they occupy no more than five centimeters, which is almost imperceptible against the background of the window structure. In addition, this version of the sun protection design is suitable for decorating windows of absolutely any shape, including arched or trapezoidal shapes. Such blinds are modern and practical to use. They make the appearance of the window more interesting and at the same time allow you to control the amount of light entering the room.
You can install day-night pleated blinds in exactly the same ways as roller blinds using double-sided tape or metal and plastic plates. In this case, a chain, cord or a special handle can be used as a mechanism for controlling roller blinds. The choice of this or that method depends on where the curtains were mounted.
Despite the day-night curtains used in the interior, rolled or pleated, they will always look very modern and stylish. Such sun-protection constructions are convenient for installation and for future use, since they do not require any special care. The choice of fabric for their manufacture depends entirely on the tastes and preferences of the customer. This makes it possible to use blinds "day-night" in the interior of any premises, both public and domestic purposes (both for the living room and for the kitchen).
