Window sill installation steps

- Preparatory processes - arrangement of a niche under the windowsill. Excess concrete or brick is knocked down, and at the bottom of the slopes they are trimmed for the side faces of the product. At this stage, it is undesirable to overzealous, since the fewer the gaps, the better the installation of a marble window sill. The installation site is cleaned of broken building material, dust with a construction vacuum cleaner.
- Rehearsal installation. A window sill is inserted into a prepared niche. It is important to provide a slight slope of the plate out. It is also necessary to check the distance between the marble and the window profile - it should be minimal. The window sill is taken out.
- The surface of the niche is primed and covered with tile glue. Also, glue is applied to the back of the plate. The windowsill is installed in a niche and pushed under the frame. The correct position of the marble is controlled by the building level.
- Residual adhesive must be removed immediately. Moreover, it is important to wipe off the surplus from both the front and the wrong sides. If the adhesive mass is not immediately removed, then it can impregnate marble. And after cleaning the dried glue, spots will remain, and they can be eliminated only with acidic compounds or it will be necessary to polish the marble window sills.
- If cracks remain between the stove and the window frame, they are carefully cleaned of excess glue and sealed. Moreover, they choose a sealant that does not contain acetic acids and has excellent adhesion to natural stones.
A day after installation, the surface of the window sill is treated with special compounds that prevent the absorption of various liquids into marble. Installation of marble window sills as well as PVC window sills can be carried out independently, special knowledge or devices are not required.

To do this, the marble window sills are first cleaned with a damp cloth. Severe contaminants are washed off with special compounds. Then the window sill made of marble is treated with special impregnations to prevent coloring liquids from entering the pores. Impregnation is applied to marble twice a year. They do not change the shade of the stone, do not create a film and do not leave spots.
It is also important to consider the care of polished and unpolished surfaces. In the first case, the funds are used to enhance the shine of the stone, and in the second - to emphasize the pattern
marble, its colors and textures (paste-like protective silicone polishes are used).
