Christmas paper decoration

DIY paper jewelry can be made from thick cardboard, colored paper or old postcards. For these purposes, you can even use the covers of old magazines or candy boxes.

To make a Christmas ball you will need:

• Cardboard, old postcards or other dense and bright material.
• Compass.
• A simple pencil.
• Scissors.
• Ruler.
• Satin ribbon.
• PVA glue.
• Awl or thick needle.
• Glue brush.

It is necessary to prepare several sheets of paper, on the reverse side of which you need to draw 20 circles with a compass. Their diameter can be of any size, but all circles must be the same. To make a medium-sized toy, the diameter of the circle should be 3-4 cm. The circles must be cut out.

An equilateral triangle should be inscribed in each circle using a ruler. To simplify the task, you can cut one triangle pattern and transfer it to all the details. Using a ruler, we bend on each circle three valves at the sides of the triangle. To get a classic New Year's ball, the valve must be bent inward, but it will look more impressive to fumble with the edges up. In this case, you get an unusual faceted ball.

For five workpieces, grease the side parts with glue. We glue the circles behind the valves. These blanks will be the top of the ball. In the center of the top, you need to make a hole with an awl or needle, and fix the satin ribbon. Similarly to the top we make the bottom of the ball.

The remaining elements are used to make the middle of the ball. Individual elements must be glued together in a strip, and then closed in a ring. It remains only to collect the ball, connecting the middle with the top and bottom.

Original angels from felt

If you want to decorate the Christmas tree with unusual and bright figures, you can make Christmas decorations from felt with your own hands in the form of delicate angels. They can be used both to decorate the Christmas tree, and as pleasant souvenirs for colleagues, friends and relatives.

To make angels you will need:

• Cardboard for the template.
• Felt in white, beige, blue and yellow.
• Scissors for fabric and paper.
• Needle.
• Multi-colored threads.
• Tape.
• Sequins, sparkles and other decorative elements for decorating crafts.

It is easiest to make felt angels based on a template. You can find it on the Internet or draw it yourself. The template should be drawn or printed on thick cardboard, after which we cut out the template elements from the cardboard. To make an angel, you should draw one detail for the face, two for the body, legs and wings, and one piece for the front and back hair. Parts should be carefully cut.

Match the threads to the color of the felt. Sew together the two parts of the legs along the contour. Sew an angel face pattern to one of the body patterns. Try to keep the seam neat and go in a semicircle along the contour of the face. If the felt is soft, take two wings instead of one pattern, and sew them together. So that the seam is not visible, it must be finished at the bottom of the wings. In this case, you can hide it with a dress.

Then you should proceed to sewing on the back and front patterns of the hair of an angel. Threads need to be matched to the color of the felt. Hair must be sewn along the bottom edge. The back pattern must be sewn only to the dress. It is important to ensure that the front and back are aligned and the edges of the material do not peek.

You need to embroider your own facial features. At this stage, you need to be very careful that the details are thin and beautiful, so the stitches should be small, especially on curved lines. If there is no experience in this matter, it is recommended to pre-train on a piece of felt. Instead of embroidering the eyes of an angel, two black beads can be sewn in their place.

Take a thin satin ribbon and cut a piece of it 12-15 cm from it. Fold the ribbon so that it turns out a loop. Sew it to the front of the angel. This will allow you to easily hang a toy on a Christmas tree. Sew the wings to the back of the angel.

It remains only to sew together the back and front side of the angel. First, do this on the top line, and then sew together the details of the hair. Sew dresses on the sides, remembering to replace the color of the thread. Insert the legs into the bottom of the angel, and then sew the bottom line of the craft.

Making Christmas tree decorations is incredibly simple, so using the above principle, you can sew a toy of almost any shape. It is enough to draw patterns, transfer to fabric and sew in compliance with technology. Burlap christmas flower

You can make a bright, unusual and decoration for a Christmas tree or a festive interior from an ordinary burlap. Nondescript at first glance, the material can become the basis of incredibly stylish, beautiful and bright colors that can be hung on a Christmas tree or used to decorate doors, windows, curtains or other interior elements for the holiday. Also, an unusual burlap flower can be used instead of a bow for gift wrapping.

To make a flower you will need:

• Sackcloth.
• Glue.
• Sockets.
• Sequins, leaflets, beads and other decorative elements.
• Wide brush.

To begin with, from burlap you need to cut 10-15 petals. They can be made of the same size, having previously made a template. However, to make the flower more natural, it is better to make the petals a little different in size.

Each petal must be smeared with a thick layer of glue. To do this, it is better to use a wide brush. If you take a little glue, the petals will not hold their shape well.

When the petals have dried, glue only the edges of the leaf with glue, then sprinkle them with a thick layer of sparkles. You can simplify the task by mixing transparent glue with sparkles. Then you need to apply the resulting mass to the edge of the leaves. An excellent solution would be to use a transparent varnish with sparkles. A little shine should be applied to the center of the petal. When the petals are completely dry, they need to be bent a little, so that they turn out in the form of a boat.
