Mirror in the interior of the nursery
Acquaintance of a small family member with the world should include self-identification. Therefore, the mirror in the children's room becomes an indispensable design element. The use of a large mirror in the nursery will not only help the baby, who sees himself to his full height, in shaping his personality, but will also become the beginning of accustoming to neatness.
Designers about the mirror in the children's room
It is advisable to place a shelf, a table or a bedside table under the mirror where the child can put his things. The best option would be to use a dressing table: in it the baby will see himself from all sides.
Manufacturers offer options for children's mirrors with built-in lamps and watches, which will become a decoration of the children's room and, at the same time, a developmental aid.
A large mirror, which is in the house, but not too suitable for the nursery, can be independently made a unique detail of the interior.
Do-it-yourself mirror in the nursery
The easiest option is to fit the frame with the same fabric from which the curtains or pillows for the sofa are made. To do this, it is necessary to glue the fabric on the frame, having previously processed it (after wetting, drying and ironing). In this case, the mirror is not removed from the frame, and the joints are decorated around the perimeter with braid or tightly glued beads. You can make a soft mirror by tightening the fabric with a lining of synthetic winterizer or foam. To do this, the mirror will have to be removed from the frame. Cut blanks are evenly stretched to the prepared frame, fixed on it with glue, decorated with various details. A mirror is inserted into the finished frame. An interesting solution may be wrapping the frame with a strip of fabric or a finished tape, fixing them with glue.
The plastic frame can be revived with drawings made using persistent paints or applique. Or using beads, rhinestones and artificial flowers, gluing them directly to the frame. The nursery will acquire a marine style if the mirror is decorated with shells and pieces of coral. The gaps can be filled with blue beads. A mirror without a frame can be added with decorativeness by applying patterns at the corners with paint through a stencil or by cutting mirror pieces of various shapes and gluing them around the perimeter like a mosaic. The mirror in the children's room will help the child in the formation of the correct perception of the world and himself in it.
