Choosing sofa cushions for the living room

It is hard to say when a person first needed a sofa cushion. Most likely, this happened after the “invention” of furniture, at a time when animal skins no longer brought a normal approach. • Doomka. The most common. They are square, less often rectangular, usually of a small format from 200 to 400 cm. on the side.
• Pillow cushions. Also a common type. Often replace the armrests of sofas or armchairs, as well as bed head restraints. Often they act as an addition to thoughts. Candy-shaped pillows are good for rooms.
• Round, "Turkish" pillows. As the name implies, these are pillows of a round shape, collected, rather magnificent.
• Cushion covers. They are made from a wide variety of materials. This is usually fabric. You can find covers: cotton, linen, velor, silk, velvet, guipure, tapestry. There are also from synthetic fabrics, faux or natural fur, leather. Sometimes there are knitted covers, and patchwork covers combined. Pillows with covers of various materials, laid side by side, look very peculiar, since the combination of different textures is always interesting.

In addition to sofas, armchairs and chairs, as well as beds, are complemented by decorative pillows. They are used on the surface of the floor, especially often in children's and playrooms, and in relaxation rooms (a kind of oriental chill-out).

Probably not worth talking about how comfortable the pillows are, and necessary for comfort, this is obvious. But how pillows affect the style of the room is necessary. If the pillows are chosen correctly, then they themselves can create a style, or at least become a hallmark of the living room, emphasizing the existing style.

This applies as to oriental styles, arabic and Moroccan. In them, not only large pillows with embroidery and tassels will be appropriate, but also many bright pillows of various juicy colors.

Pillows are often used to bond various pieces of furniture in different colors.If the sofa is bright red and the chairs are beige, then it is appropriate to put beige pillows on the sofa, and red on the chair. You can also knit together a variety of chairs, ottomans, beds.

The easiest, but not always acceptable way, is tone on tone. In the usual interior, this method is of little use, because of its dullness. But in classic style, it is very appropriate, as it emphasizes severity, as in minimalism - restraint.

And, of course, it is not forbidden to experiment with such wonderful elements of decoration as sofa cushions, combine them in every possible way, try new materials for covers, and diversify colors. Experimenting is the same as doing. And creativity is always beautiful.

It is enough to have a small sample of wallpaper with you, and in the store the consultants will select the appropriate fabric for pillows on it.
