Lattice ceiling - one of the types of suspended ceilings. It has a continuous cellular structure over the entire surface of the ceiling, covered by a background substrate on the back side. The shape of the cells can be not only square, but also round, oval, etc. Its presentable aesthetic appearance and excellent technical properties have contributed to widespread use in a wide variety of rooms.
Such a ceiling is made of aluminum, the thickness of which is 0.32 and 0.4 mm. The most popular cell sizes are 50x50, 75x75, 100x100 mm, but there are other sizes made to order. By the way, the smaller the cell, the more expensive the ceiling. This is explained by the large use of constituent elements in the design of the ceiling.
Lattice ceiling can be produced in various colors, the most popular of which are metallic gray, white, chrome, gold, black. On request, the ceiling can be made in any color according to the international RAL scale.
The shape of the lattice ceiling can be divided into several types:
- standard;
- jalousie;
- pyramidal;
- multilevel.
The benefits of a slatted ceiling
- The suspended lattice ceiling is made entirely of aluminum; at high temperatures it does not deform and does not emit toxic substances.
- The ceiling is absolutely not afraid of moisture, can be used in such rooms as: swimming pools, baths, cellars, industrial facilities with a relative humidity of 100%.
- It is made of environmentally friendly materials, which allows it to be used in residential premises.
- The special coating does not accumulate dust and moisture, and this is a negative environment for the appearance of mold and is flexible.
- Has the ability to install sound and heat insulating materials.
- It allows the installation of fixtures almost anywhere, and the ceiling itself has a good light reflectance.
- The installation of plates based on mineral fiberglass can increase the rate of heat and sound absorption, but at the same time, high rates of moisture resistance are not reduced.
- It hides communications, wiring and pipes on the ceiling, but at the same time, access to them remains open;
The disadvantages of the trellised ceiling
- The relatively high price is due to the use of expensive high-quality aluminum.
- Compared with the installation of suspended ceilings and rack ceilings, installation is more time-consuming and lengthy. All slats are assembled gradually and manually. But still there is a plus: in any place on the ceiling you can remove the module, for example, if access to the wiring is required.
