Waterfall in the courtyard - a shade of freshness and peace

Even after 15 - 20 minutes after spending a similar session, there is a feeling of peace and relaxation.

In addition, today there is such a variety of materials that can easily be implemented on your site, even with your own hands. Moreover, it is quite possible to build a waterfall even on the territory of a small site. The main thing is to think carefully over the line of falling water so that it blends into the surrounding area. Naturally, the design should be simple if the yard is small.

It should be noted that even unpretentious waterfalls can bring an attractive form of water jets and freshness to the atmosphere of a private courtyard. Very often this beautiful decorative element is included in the overall design rock garden,

basin or artificial pond.

However, there are other options for organizing artificial waterfalls. Here are the most common ones:

• tables with waterfalls - to begin with, there are tables in every yard, for example, in a recreation area or summer kitchen for serving light snacks and drinks, and so, if such a table is located close to an artificial reservoir, then their designs can be combined in an original way, and concrete can even be made on its own, and glass table models, of course, can only be manufactured industrially, of course, you will need to lay plumbing works and communications before creating a waterfall, as well as wiring to work torus;
• waterfalls-walls - this refers to walls that are formed due to water jets, in appearance they can be completely different, the most popular are vertically falling strings, as a result of which a beautiful curtain is formed, and equally flowing forks have falling water jets along the entire facade at home, in addition, a wall with flowing streams can be included even in fence construction, and if this is a modern style, very often the waterfall is built directly into the wall located in a concrete pond with a strictly geometric shape, thus, a spectacular decorative wall with a waterfall is obtained;

• grottoes with waterfalls - this refers to compositions of water and stone, which look unusually attractive and give a pleasant feeling of coolness, which is especially true on a hot summer day, and in most cases, artificial a rock, a good option would be the inclusion of water slides in the design, and color lighting will wonderfully decorate the entire composition, giving it an additional effect, especially in the evening

In this case, it is necessary to have a number of elements necessary to create a waterfall. If something is not enough, the waterfall will simply not look natural. For example, to create a not very deep, but rather high waterfall, the following elements will be required that will provide it with a natural look:

• you will need at least two flat large plates to create two tiers, which will provide an effective spillway, each of these plates is supported from below using cobblestones (small, medium or large sizes), by the way, the aligned plates look more effective, for example, when the upper one is placed at an angle in while the bottom is absolutely even;

• large cobblestones are recommended to be placed around the edges, smaller cobblestones should be filled in;
• Also, on the edges should be installed several flat plates having a smaller size, and on top put small pebbles;
• in order to emphasize the expressiveness of the waterfall, one large cobblestone should be installed to expand the main area of ​​the waterfall;
• it would also be nice to place another large beautiful cobblestone outside the falls, however, not very far;
• if you use at least one cobblestone, with its sharp end up, the shape will change dramatically, becoming much more interesting;
• after everything is put in place, you can add medium and small pebbles to the composition, including very small pebbles that resemble large pebbles in appearance
• if desired, you can leave special pockets, which you can then use to install potted plants in them, however, do not forget that plants around the waterfall should be placed with caution, because to give naturalness, those plants that are found in nature are most suitable

A waterfall or cascade will most harmoniously fit into the landscape design of your site, if you place it on an artificially created hill or on the shore of a reservoir. Often artificial barriers in the form of stones are used, and the method of laying them, like the shape, can be different, depending on what suits you.

The main thing is to organize the flow of water in such a way that it falls from a height of one and a half to two meters. Using gutters will help change the size and shape of the stream. For example, to obtain a very powerful jet, it is necessary to pass a very large volume of water through narrow drains. And for a smooth runoff of water, say, on the surface of a stone, you need a small pressure of water. The effect of the “mirror wall” requires a wide and even gutter with guide rails installed on the sides.

And of course, for a waterfall you will need a pump that will pump a volume of water. Accordingly, the possibility of connecting the pump to the mains must be provided in advance.
