- Natural wood is the most expensive finishing option from its “classmates”. But the high cost is offset by the unique appearance and long service life.
- MDF is a good and practical option. It is characterized by high sound and heat insulation, is not afraid of temperature changes and mechanical stress. Great for both offices and apartments.
- Particleboard / fiberboard - the most economical option. The ease of installation and the availability of material for a wide range of people distinguishes it favorably. Doesn't like moisture.
In addition, the material can still be divided by the method of processing the upper layer. By the way, each of the methods greatly affects the appearance. So:
- Veneering - the process consists in applying veneer from valuable species of natural wood onto the top layer. It has a good and attractive appearance.
- Lamination - in addition to the glossy surface, the material acquires several additional protective properties.
- Varnishing - great for natural wood. Varnish, as a material, does not particularly need to be introduced, as it is often used to coat wooden products. Gives small moisture resistance and more attractive appearance.
