Try to guess what is the appeal of a rustic style for the inhabitants of our country?

As a country design direction, it gained recognition not so long ago. However, elements of this style have long been used by Russians in architecture and interior decoration. It’s enough to recall medieval log cabins and classic Russian baths.

The bustle of the city, the increased noise level and environmental degradation among many residents of megalopolises cause a desire to feel protected, to be in silence, to feel the beneficial effects of nature. Therefore, we can assume that interest in the country style in Russia will increase even more in the coming years.

It should be noted that this design area is ideal for such living spaces as the kitchen (dining room), bedroom and living room. Rural flavor is almost not used in the design of home offices, children's rooms and bathrooms, because when decorating these vital areas it is difficult to maintain the unity of style.

The rustic style is involuntarily associated with something warm and sunny, at home cozy and familiar from birth. Country is, first of all, childhood memories stored in the depths of the soul of every adult. The rustic bathroom creates a feeling of security - a very rare condition in our time.

2. Reproduction in the house of rural coloring of a certain state. As you know, the country style in each country has its own characteristics. The specificity inherent in a particular locality gives the village direction of design special features. The warm colors typical of the interiors of Italy, France and South America are very different from the cool colors of the country style of a country like Sweden.

3. The desire to use environmentally friendly materials for decoration. A distinctive quality of country - interiors is the use of natural finishing materials and "breathing" technologies. Natural shades and colors, natural coatings, without which this style is unthinkable, allow you to create a kind of “reserved” zone in the house. 4. The ability to carry out repairs at minimal cost. The rustic style allows the use of simple technologies and inexpensive materials in the interior. It’s not necessary to purchase expensive new furniture and intricate accessories. Mighty old cabinets, shelves, as well as stable stools brought from the village and carefully restored by their owners, are no worse than new things purchased in the store.

1. Bright provocative colors unacceptable in rustic interiors. Fans of flashy flowers will have to rethink their views. Country style allows for multicolor, but all shades, at the same time, should not be too bright. It is best to dwell on muted tones and pastel colors.

2. Rural decor does not get along well with sophisticated plumbing. Modern chrome surfaces in a country interior look defiant. Best in the bathroom will look accessories using metal imitating brass or bronze. As for the bath itself, it is preferable to choose one of the old models on legs.

3. Bright lighting in the bathroom interior and country style are incompatible. For such rooms, it is recommended to choose special lighting devices that emit muffled, slightly diffused light. Rustic bathrooms will fit old lamps and chandeliers.

If necessary, you can complement the interior with several compact lighting fixtures built into the ceiling or side panels.

4. Wood, which usually takes leading positions when decorating country-style rooms, is used in moderation in interiors of bathrooms. Most often, natural wood decorate the ceilings. Decorative beams are often the main decoration of country rooms. And, of course, do not forget about furniture, which should be simple and solid.

Spacious and well-ventilated rooms are another matter. When designing such bathrooms with natural wood, it is possible to finish not only ceiling ceilings, but also walls. Wooden surfaces in this case dry out well and do not rot.

A few cozy rugs will be very appropriate in the room. Country style is characterized by original, self-woven rugs and motley fluffy flooring.

Near the bathroom you can place all the most necessary accessories - hangers for clothes and towels, shelves for cosmetics and perfumes, as well as comfortable mirrors.

From the recommendations of designers: in such a country room, the main light should be placed directly above the bath. To create additional lighting, you need to use several side lights.

Such an original design, made in the country style, recalls the medieval Russian huts. In such an interior, a massive natural wood bench will be appropriate.

The original bathroom, made of rough material, evokes thoughts of the sea. The walls of the room are decorated with a yellowish stone, reminiscent in texture of a hillside on the sea coast. The floors are laid out with large slabs of brownish color.

Another option is an elongated bathtub that simulates a well. The brown color of the main attribute goes well with the motley pattern of the flooring and matte walls.
