Original design project of a summer kitchen with a fireplace
What could be better than relaxing in a country house? Only the opportunity to comfortably sit in the fresh air in the space of the summer kitchen, watching the flame in the fireplace, waiting for pizza or barbecue, swing in a comfortable hammock or read a book, sitting in a comfortable easy chair. There are many options for outdoor recreation in private households and all of them are taken into account in the universal design project of one summer kitchen, which is a whole complex of all kinds of devices for active and relaxed pastime. Perhaps some of the ideas implemented in the framework of this suburban complex will be an inspiration for your plans for the improvement of a country or personal plot.
In the backyard of a two-story mansion, a spacious ensemble of various devices for preparing and absorbing food, relaxing in the fresh air, meeting friends and relaxing with a narrow family circle was arranged. Under a covered wooden canopy there is an outdoor living area with a fireplace, barbecue facilities and a bar counter. Under the open flooring there is a dining area and an oven in which you can cook various culinary masterpieces on an open fire.
The platform for the summer kitchen is paved with special street tiles with a pronounced texture to avoid slipping. A perfectly flat lawn fits right up to the site, perennial trees bow their branches, forming a shadow that is so necessary on hot days.
All areas of the summer kitchen are brightly lit, in addition to pendant lights under the roofs of the canopies, there are also ground lamps for safe movement in the back yard.
It is not surprising that wood and stone were chosen as the main materials for finishing the structure - the proximity to nature encourages the use of natural raw materials. The abundance of vegetation can be observed not only on the site, plants in pots and tubs are located throughout the summer area.
We begin our tour of the summer kitchen with an area under a covered canopy. Here harmoniously adjoins the base for barbecue, equipped with a bar on the back side, a soft zone of the living room and a fireplace, which is two-sided.
To maintain the abundance of stainless steel parts in the barbecue area, lamps of the same material were hung over this area.
Behind a stone bar counter, 2-3 people can comfortably accommodate for a small meal.
Bright scarlet bar stools and pillows of the same shade in the soft zone became accent spots in this segment of the summer kitchen, diluting the stone-wood palette with rich color.
The original design of the fireplace allows you to observe the fire both from the side of the soft area of the living room under a canopy, and from the place where two wicker chairs with a table are located.
Wicker furniture as the main furniture for open air is an ideal option in terms of care and durability of the material. These chairs can be washed with a hose, their coloring does not fade in the sun, and with the help of soft pillows they turn into a cozy and comfortable place to relax. If we walk along the path of stone slabs through the lawn, we find ourselves in another patio, but already under an umbrella. This dining group can be used both for a narrow circle of the family, and during dinner parties or noisy parties.
Watching the fire of a fireplace sitting in comfortable wicker chairs in the evening is an indescribable pleasure, especially when everything around is breathing with nature and filled with aromas of plants and flowers.
We return to the dining area, which is located under a canopy. It is represented by a table for six people with comfortable chairs made of bamboo material that “breathes” in the summer, creating favorable conditions for those sitting.
Near the dining area is a stone stove, which any chef could envy. On an open fire, you can cook an incredible number of delicious dishes that can be tasted right there, in the dining area.
Not far from the central element of the summer kitchen - the fireplace, there is a hammock for relaxing. It is successfully placed under the dense branches of a conifer, creating the necessary shade and cool on hot days.
