Speaking globally, there are two options for organizing a shower zone in a bathroom - installing a finished booth with all the accessories and installing a segment for taking water procedures using partitions, doors and curtains. And in fact, and in another case, there are many options, ways to fill the shower with accessories and devices, the choice of color palette, the way to make glass partitions and curtains.

If we talk about the purchase of a ready-made shower, then its choice will depend on the following parameters:

• the dimensions of the bathroom as a whole and the space for installing the cabin in particular (there are many compact models with the parameters of the pallet from 80x80 cm);
• height of the pallet - someone uses the booth exclusively for taking a shower, others need to bathe the child in the pallet or be able to fully or partially relax, “soak” as part of the hydrobox;
• the choice of functions of a shower cabin - one is enough to have a shower head, while others need a hydromassage, "tropical rain" and even a Turkish bath or a Finnish sauna in their shower sector;
• purchase budget - the cost of shower stalls can vary significantly (depending on the manufacturer, a set of options, sizes and materials).

Ready booths can have a different shape of the pallet and the corresponding walls. The lower part in the section can be a square, a rectangle, a sector (two perpendicular sides are connected by an arc), a pentagon, a circle and a polygon.

In addition to differences in size, filling and design, all showers are divided into open and closed. Open structures do not have a roof and are cheaper, closed ones are equipped with an upper wall, in the cavity of which ventilation and a lighting system are integrated (in some models there is radio communication and a landline telephone line is connected). In terms of tightness and retention of heat and moisture within the shower, closed models are the undisputed leaders. But some people dislike the idea that they will be inside a small enclosed space. One of the simplest and most obvious ways to create a shower cabin in the bathroom is to fit it into a corner of the room. You already have two walls, you just have to put up a partition and hang a door (or a couple of curtains, depending on the size). Most often, designers and their customers choose transparent glass as the material for the partition and doors. Tempered glass is a safe and durable material that is resistant to mechanical damage. Glass has a special film that does not allow it to crumble into fragments even when broken. Although breaking such a thick glass will not be easy, but in any case, there is no risk of being cut by fragments.

The advantages of having two of the four walls of a shower made of clear glass are obvious - you do not need to carry out lighting inside the area to take a shower, it is enough common light sources. The design itself turns out to be transparent, very light - even in a small room, such a cabin does not overload the space, but as if dissolves in it.

In some cases (it all depends on the size and layout of the utility room) it is more convenient to create a cabin from two glass walls and doors, while only the back wall of the cabin belongs to the bathroom.

Glass cabinets can be painted, tinted, have a pattern made by laser engraving. Modern photo printing allows you to apply any print on any surface, including glass. Drawing or tone can be applied both on the entire glass surface, and partially, highlighting the desired area.

Some owners of apartments and houses prefer to use frosted glass to create partitions and doors in the shower. This technique is especially relevant for large families with a combined bathroom - while one of the households takes a shower, someone can perform sanitary and hygienic procedures and not violate privacy.

From the point of view of the method of opening doors in a booth, all the hydroboxes are divided into sliding and swinging. Hinged doors are simpler and cheaper to execute, but they will require more free space for installation.

Sliding structures are suitable for bathrooms with a deficit of usable space - to open them you do not need free space, only the possibility of access to the cabin.

The decoration of the shower cabin should be carried out using materials that are highly resistant to moisture, temperature extremes, the formation of mold and mildew, mechanical damage. Obviously, a small number of materials meet all these requirements, and the most popular of them are ceramic tiles and mosaics. Affordable (compared to glass tiles, for example), with a huge range of colors and textures, practical, easy to clean and use, ceramic tiles have long become the undisputed favorite in the field of creating shower area finishes.

The disadvantages of using ceramics for cladding surfaces of the shower can only be attributed to the need to contact specialists and the rather high cost of installation. Another unpleasant moment is the susceptibility of inter-tile seams to the occurrence and spread of mold. If on the surface of the tile itself such a risk is practically eliminated, but the space between the dies is an ideal place for plaque and blackening to occur. But periodic treatment with antiseptics and refreshing the grout can solve this problem.

The fewer tile joints, the less surface for antiseptic treatment. Perhaps, guided by this rule, designers are increasingly offering large-sized tiles as the material for shower enclosures. Based on this logic, mosaic becomes the most difficult material for decoration in terms of care.But there is one undeniable advantage for mosaic tiles that this method of decorating many homeowners forces to choose - it can be used to veneer absolutely any surface, with roundings, indentations, niches and arches. In addition, the mosaic can be glued to any material - from concrete and wood to acrylic and glass.

With the help of mosaics, it is not easy to diversify the monophonic execution of ceramic tile cladding, but also to make picturesque drawings, with the help of decorative inserts visually increase the height or width of the shower area, and create a color accent.

Showers with a deep tray are also capable of performing bath functions. At least sitting in such a place for receiving water procedures can be comfortably located.

Long gone are the days when there was only a shower in the shower area. The possibilities of modern plumbing and additions to it appear in such a variety that you can get lost. So, what, besides the usual shower head, can the shower zone offer us?

Option "tropical rain". A similar function is carried out through the use of a special large watering can with many holes. The flow of water is not supplied by trickles, as in a normal watering can, but sprayed onto many tiny drops that envelop the body, as if you really are in the tropics in the rain. The procedure has a healing and relaxing effect. Often, models of large watering cans are equipped with a backlight and then the color therapy effect is added to hydrotherapy (depending on the desired effect, the backlight shade is selected).

Hydromassage. The effect of hydromassage is achieved with the help of several nozzles (from four to twelve) arranged vertically in two rows. Water from nozzles can beat with different levels of intensity. Nozzles are located at different levels - for hydromassage of the cervical spine, back, lower back and even legs. Shower panel. The device looks like a panel equipped with a large watering can (possibly with the function of "tropical rain"), as well as nozzles for hydromassage. The panel also contains a regulator of the intensity and temperature of the water flow; it may contain the functions of turning on the backlight and radio.
