The formation of key trends in the decoration of apartments is due to the accelerating pace of life of citizens and a noticeable increase in household load.

When designing most modern city apartments in 2015, two design trends will be mainly used - modern and minimalism. For the interiors of rooms made in the Art Nouveau style, features such as:

2. the predominance of natural materials;
3. the use of smooth lines and uneven contours.

Minimalism style is characterized as:

1. the presence of only the most necessary furniture;
2. a huge amount of light and free space;
3. competent organization of the room (breakdown of rooms into functional zones).

In the interiors of apartments, one can often find an interweaving of the main directions of design, since these styles have much in common. In addition, some of the elements of the loft style are involved in the design of modern urban premises, including:

The leading position in the creation of apartment interiors in the coming year will be occupied by light colors (all kinds of shades of white, beige and gray). Natural colors such as greenish, brownish and bluish gray are still popular.

Occasionally, dark colors (dark gray and charcoal black) may be used.

Bright contrasting colors in modern interiors are used only as a complement - in the form of original accessories (individual pieces of furniture, decorative panels, rugs and sofa pillows).

The color scheme of the walls, ceilings and floors of this season will be simple and functional. The main surfaces are usually painted in a single color. A significant part of the premises has an impressive wall height. Some surfaces serve as peculiar accents (due to decorative tiles, masonry or expressive wallpaper).

A completely different thing is the shape of the ceiling. The ceiling design is distinguished by sophistication and variety. Modern finishing materials make it possible to give this part of the room any intricate shape. In addition, ceiling structures are often used by designers to organize lighting in a room.

For finishing floors this year, laminate coatings of various colors will most often be used. This modern material is quite practical and affordable for most Russians.

In some rooms marble tiles are appropriate.

As for filling the apartment with furniture, there are no obvious priorities. In most cases, objects of soft colors and classic shapes are used:

1. spacious rectangular sofas with soft upholstery;
2. round, square or elongated coffee tables made of glass and plastic;
3. small elegant armchairs and massive soft chairs;
4. decorative fireplaces;
5. shelves for books embedded in the wall;
6. long cupboards for other things.

Of the main decorative accessories should be highlighted:

1. colorful pictures and panels;
2. all kinds of vases and figurines;
3. fresh flowers in original pots;
4. compositions of artificial plants and flowers;
5. lamps and table lamps of an unusual shape.

All kinds of popular floor coverings and soft fleecy rugs will continue to be.

When organizing the vital areas of any apartment, great importance is attached to lighting. That is why urban buildings with large windows are so valued. Thanks to the huge window openings, such rooms are excellently illuminated and do not require additional lighting fixtures.

Where artificial lighting cannot be dispensed with, there are a variety of lamps and spotlights. Each zone has its own lighting device.

Large windows are not only a source of natural light, but also a very expressive element of decor. When making window openings, a variety of textiles are used, sometimes quite bright and contrasting.

The window zone can serve as a small shelf for storing household items, and even serve as a kind of bench for a short rest.

It is difficult to say which design areas will become the most popular this year, since each homeowner has the right to decide for himself what is most acceptable for him. Therefore, it is not worthwhile to think anything ahead - time will put everything in its place.
