1.Combination of functional segments. The connection within the same room of several zones does not lose its popularity. In private homes, this design technique is no less common than in apartments. The combination of several functional segments in one room allows you to save space and freedom of movement, even in small spaces. As a rule, such studio rooms have a high level of natural light - two or more large-scale windows, in some cases glass doors (exit to the backyard). Combined spaces are convenient from the point of view of operation, cleaning.

Most often, functional areas such as the living room, dining room and kitchen are subject to combination. The location of these three important life segments under one roof allows you to create a practical atmosphere and a beautiful, bright and spacious room with high aesthetic qualities. With the help of modern household appliances with high power but low noise level, the organization of working kitchen processes does not interfere with relaxation in the living room segment or eating in the dining area.

But not only the kitchen, dining and living segments are to be combined. For example, a workplace can be located within the living room or bedroom. Even upholstery in pastel colors looks expressively against a white background, not to mention darker or brighter colors.

 

Using the design technique of the “accent wall” has not lost its popularity, it just underwent some modifications. If earlier in the design projects of living rooms, bedrooms, and children's rooms, dining rooms, one could meet the use of two types of wallpaper from the same collection, perfectly complementing each other, then in modern design options for these rooms various imitations are more and more common. Accent wall is a surface of brick or masonry, finished with wood or ceramic tiles, mosaics. You can create an imitation using decorative plaster, textured or liquid wallpaper, wall panels, laminate.

So, finishing materials in a modern interior should have the following qualities:

3.Bright, original furniture is the accent of the interior. Considering the fact that the main trend in the decoration of the room is neutrality, the use of plain, light materials, the role of accent elements goes to furniture. This trend is most clearly used in bedroom interiors - a bed in such rooms most often acts as the only accent design object. Not only the bed design design itself, but also its textile design becomes a priority.

Upholstered furniture plays the role of accent elements in the living rooms, dining rooms, offices and libraries of private houses. At the same time, a bright, colorful or contrasting dark color of the upholstery of upholstered furniture may be present in more than one piece of furniture. 4.Storage systems - rational use of space. In modern design projects, you can increasingly see storage systems located from the ceiling to the floor. Open bookshelves are used for books, documents and photos within the framework, for everything else that the owners would like to hide from the eyes of the guests, compact chests of drawers with drawers, low modules with swing or sliding doors are used.

5.Lighting - diffused or local lighting. Whatever the size of the room of a modern private house, it rarely costs only one source of artificial lighting.After all, the backlight system is not only the ability to illuminate a particular part of the room, but also the ability to create a certain atmosphere, zoning the space or highlighting especially significant segments. Even if you do not have the habit of reading before bedtime, lighting from local sources (wall sconces, table or floor lamps) in the bedroom is simply necessary - to create a certain atmosphere of preparation for bedtime. Even in a small living room, ceiling lights are not enough. A floor lamp or table lamp is needed in a soft sitting area, reading corner or near a coffee (coffee) table.

6.Textile design - concise design. If we talk about the drapery of window openings, then designers recommend using the most simple in form and execution of textile solutions. Traditional curtains - straight canvases, flowing down from the ceiling and to the floor with uniform vertical folds, can appear both solo and in company with a translucent veil (most often plain and smooth).

If we talk about another use of textiles for decorating the room, then the most striking and accent is the use of sofas and other decorative pillows. This is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to change the nature of the interior - replacing the color in the performance of textile decor on the beds in the bedroom or sofas and armchairs in the living room. Replacing cushion covers is much easier than changing wall decoration or upholstery of upholstered furniture, which is why designers and their customers love this design technique so much.

As already mentioned above, plain wall decoration has become an absolute favorite in the field of decoration of residential premises. And the fact that light shades in a monophonic version is the most common way to create a universal background of a room will not be news to anyone. Light tone helps smooth out imperfections in architecture and surface treatment, does not focus on flaws in the installation of window or door openings, helps to visually increase the volume of a room, and will become an excellent background for accent furniture or decorative elements.

The use of white for wall decoration is also dictated by the influence of Scandinavian stylistics on the formation of a modern style. Snow-white walls in combination with wooden floors in warm colors are one of the key motives for decorating Scandinavian dwellings. Maximum space and light is a priority in a room of any size. Namely, the white color, which practically does not absorb the sun's rays, perfectly matches the tasks and basic principles of the Scandinavian style.

Gray color does not go out of fashion. Its relevance can be observed for several seasons. Universal, neutral, but at the same time noble and solid - gray color is perfectly combined with various color schemes of the interior. Depending on the chosen shade, you can create a calm, dynamic and even dramatic atmosphere of the room. It is enough to choose a couple of tones for the company in gray (most often white and black, or snow-white surfaces and wooden) and make one bright accent - the original interior is ready.

Black and white combinations in the design of modern rooms occupy not the last place in the list of relevant ideas.On the one hand, such a design is easy to organize even in the absence of design skills, but on the other hand, you can get a truly original, dynamic and stylish image of the room. Depending on the size and purpose of the room, which will be decorated in a contrast version, light and dark tones are used in varying degrees of intensity. Of course, for rooms of a small area, light tone becomes the main one, a dark color is used only to emphasize the geometry and highlight particularly important interior items.
