Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to have a large budget to create such an interior. Every year, designers are increasingly focusing on furniture items that are made by hand. You can use wooden pallets for this. They are designed for transportation, but increasingly they are chosen to create a wide variety of furniture for the home.

Pallets: rules for selection and processing before use

As mentioned above, pallets are used for transportation as packaging material. They come in different sizes, but most often you can see standard and Euro pallets. By the way, it is on the last option that there is a marking on the ends, which will be a kind of decoration on your furniture. In addition, for the manufacture of such pallets, wood is used that can withstand loads of up to 1000 kg. Therefore, you can be sure that such a sofa will not break.

Before starting work, we recommend that you carry out basic training on pallets. First you need to clean them from dirt and dust. This is especially true for designs that were in use. To do this, a simple brush or broom is suitable. But if the dirt is too strong, feel free to wash it with plain water. After this, leave the pallets on the street until completely dry.

The next step is surface treatment to remove roughness and roughness. A grinder is best suited for this. But if it is not, then use sandpaper. Of course, this will take much longer, but the surface must be smooth. Also remember that safety must be observed during the process, so use a face shield.

Laconic sofa with drawers

As you know, in pallets there is a small space between the boards. It is very convenient to use to store various things. Therefore, we propose to make an unusual sofa with drawers.

For work, we need:

• pallets;
• plywood sheets;
• Bulgarian;
• primer;
• drill;
• paint for wood;
• acrylic lacquer;
• jigsaw;
• sandpaper;
• screws;
• handles for boxes;
• wheels - 4 pcs.;
• brushes;
• roller;
• Cushions and seats for the sofa.

First of all, we start preparing all the pallets, that is, we clean them and grind them. One of them will be the basis, so you can immediately attach the wheels to it.

The second pallet will be the back of the sofa, so we trim it, as shown in the photo.

The third pallet is divided in half. These will be the armrests.

Since the back and the main part of the sofa should be solid, we fill the empty space between the boards with wooden blanks. Instead, you can use parts of pallets that have already been disassembled previously.

Using screws, we attach the back to the main part of the sofa. On the sides we attach armrests. We cover the entire structure with a primer. After complete drying, apply a layer of paint, and then acrylic varnish and leave to dry.

In the meantime, we begin to create two boxes. For this we use sheets of plywood and screws. We also attach the handles from the outside. If desired, we make drawers for the armrests.

We lay out the seats and pillows on the sofa.As you can see, the result is a stylish piece of furniture that can be easily moved.

Small sofa

If you want to make a small sofa in the hallway, then this is just the perfect option.

Necessary materials:

• pallets;
• screws;
• saw;
• corners;
• screwdriver;
• a pen;
• sanding machine or sandpaper;
• primer;
• putty knife;
• white paint;
• brush;
• decorative pillows.

To begin with, the pallet is cut into two parts. This is necessary so that the sofa is not too wide. In this case, the narrower part will act as a back, and the wider one as a seat.

From the bars we cut out the legs for the future sofa. It is very important that they be the same size. It is best to make them fairly wide for reliability.

The next step is to join the two workpieces together. For this, corners, screws and a screwdriver are used.

We grind the surface of the sofa using a special machine or use a simple sandpaper for this.

Using a spatula, apply the primer and leave the sofa until completely dry.

Paint the surface with white paint.

We decorate the sofa with various pillows at our discretion.

Corner sofa

In the process, you will need the following:

• foam rubber;
• scissors;

• construction stapler.

First of all, we clean the surface of the pallets, process with sandpaper and cover with a primer. Only after that we apply white paint and leave it to dry completely.

We saw wooden blocks at an angle. It is on this that the degree of tilt of the back of the sofa depends.

We attach the bars to the pallet using a screwdriver, screws and corners.

We process a sheet of plywood with sandpaper, apply a primer, as well as white paint. After complete drying, we fix it as the back of a sofa.

The result is a sofa frame, as shown in the photo.

We use small bars as legs and attach them to the sofa.

From the foam rubber we cut out the required size pieces. They will be used as seats and backs.

We tighten the foam with a piece of fabric and attach it to the sofa using a construction stapler.

Repeat the same with each foam blank.

The result is an original corner sofa.
