Decor for the bathroom: 6 step-by-step workshops

In the process of arranging their own housing, many pay special attention to the decor of the kitchen or bedroom. As for the bathroom, it is often purchased for it the most necessary appliances, without thinking that they can also look stylish. Therefore, we propose to make more original and functional items with your own hands.

Shower Curtains

Unfortunately, shower curtains are often too simple or have a not very beautiful print. Therefore, we propose to make a stylish, original version yourself.

For this we need:

• gradient or white shower curtain;
• acrylic paints;
• brush;
• centimeter;
• pen or pencil;
• scissors;
• a printer;
• paper;
• parchment;
• pins.

To begin, we select the necessary phrase for the curtain. We print each letter separately on A4 sheets. We spread the curtain and put on top of it sheets of letters in several rows.

We shift one line of the phrase on the work surface. We measure the size of the letters, taking into account several centimeters from each edge. Cut off a piece of parchment and put it on top of the first line of the phrase. Circle letters with a pen or pencil. Repeat the same with the rest of the lines.

Carefully cut out the letters from parchment. We transfer the sheets with the phrase to the curtain. We fix them with pins.

Draw letters with any shade of acrylic paint. Leave the curtain to dry completely.

We remove the template from parchment and hang the curtain.

For a bathroom made in white shades, it is better to make a brighter curtain. She will be a kind of accent and certainly will not be left without attention.

Prepare the following:

• shower curtain in white;
• yarn in bright colors;
• pencil;
• ruler;
• needle;
• paper;
• scissors.

To begin with, we make a diagram of a geometric pattern on plain paper. We try different options until the result is the most suitable. Gently transfer the scheme to the curtain with a pencil.

On the marked lines we make stitches with bright threads. You can use different techniques for this, so we recommend choosing the one that you like the most.

We use bright shades of thread to make the design more original.

Carefully smooth the curtain and hang it.

 

Bath mats

Of course, warm floors in rooms - the perfect solution in the modern world. However, many still refuse them. Therefore, we propose, as an alternative, to make a soft, warm rug of pompons with your own hands.

Necessary materials:

• yarn in a suitable color scheme;
• rubber canvas;
• scissors;
• paper or napkin sleeves.

First, roll up two rolls of paper if you do not have bushings. We connect them and wind the yarn until a large skein is obtained. Remember that how big the pompom will be depends on its size.

Cut a fairly long thread and thread it between the bushings. Tie tightly and remove the bushings from the pompom.

We make an additional knot, but we do not cut the ends of the thread.

Carefully cut all the loops to form a pompom. It is very important to cut them at approximately the same level. Due to this, it will look like a ball.

We make the rest of the pompoms from yarn of different colors. We put a rubber canvas or rug on the working surface, and then attach pompons to it. To do this, simply thread the threads into the cells and fix on the reverse side. If the tips are too long, trim them.

For those who like foot massage, we suggest making an original rug for the bathroom from stones.

You will need the following:

• open rubber mat;
• stones
• silicone waterproof sealant;
• old curtain for the shower.

If your mat also has a textured surface, then just turn it over, as it must be smooth.

We put an old curtain on the working surface to protect it from the effects of sealant. We place the largest stones on top of the holes on the rug.

We evenly distribute the remaining stones so that as a result the rug looks whole.

As soon as everything is ready, we glue each stone to the rug one by one.

We recommend that you press them a little to fix more securely.

Leave the mat for at least a day until completely dry.

The original marine-themed mat is ready!

If desired, you can use other materials to create rugs. They look no less stylish.

Laundry basket

Often laundry baskets are made of plastic, so they are quite simple and plain. A great alternative would be a basket made of rope with leather handles.

Necessary materials:

• natural rope;
• bucket;
• glue gun;
• scissors;
• strips of leather or tape.

We turn the rope in the shape of an oval and connect it with glue. Turn the bucket over and put the blank on top of it. Continue sticking the rope until the bottom is fully formed. Gently move it so that it begins to wrap the walls. We take out the bucket from the basket and glue the tip.

We attach leather handles to the basket, as shown in the photo. To make this a little easier, we recommend using a tape or rope for this.

You can make such a basket from fabric, paper or even wooden twigs.

Wall organizer

If the bathroom does not have much free space, then the wall organizer for small things will be an indispensable thing.

We will need such materials:

• wooden plank;
• glasses;
• thin leather tape;
• white paint;
• brush;
• drill;
• pencil or pen;
• construction stapler.

We paint the board with white paint in several layers. Leave it to dry completely. We put glasses on top of it and make notes in the upper part.

Using a drill, we make several holes in the board. Through two holes we stretch the leather ribbon and thus fix the first glass.

We tie the ends of the ribbon into knots.

For reliability, we recommend using a stapler.

We hang the organizer in the bathroom and fill it with the necessary details.
