DIY decor: paper flowers
Creating a bright, original decor with your own hands is not at all difficult. It often happens that the room lacks zest, and the walls look too empty. Correct the situation and make up for the lack of decorative elements using artificial colors. Also, for example, with paper flowers you can simply decorate a room for the holiday, especially since making them yourself is not at all difficult.
Paper flowers are a universal subject of decor, because they can be of any colors, shapes and sizes, are great for composing compositions and are able to decorate any room.
What is needed:
- tissue paper in several colors;
- twine or woolen thread;
- scissors;
- masking tape.
1. Cut the workpiece
First you need to cut a few rectangular pieces of tissue paper. Moreover, the width of each part should be two to three times greater than the length. For each flower, 5-10 such details will be needed (the more parts, the more magnificent the flower will be).
2. Add up the details
Now you need to fold the part with an accordion. The splendor of the flower depends on the size of the folds - the smaller the folds, the more magnificent the flower will be.
3. Bandage
Then you need to bandage the resulting "accordion" in the middle.
4. Give shape to the petals
With the help of scissors, round the edges - these will be the petals of the future flower. Also, if desired, you can make them sharp or curly along the entire length. To speed up the process, you can cut several parts at a time, but for this you need large sharp scissors.
5. We form a flower
Now you need to expand the circumference of the part. Folds need to be straightened so that there are no empty spaces. First, the base is made of such blanks, and then the remaining parts are superimposed and fastened with threads. The last layer is attached so that the folds are almost perpendicular. To do this, the part for the top must be folded at an angle.
6. Fasten the flower
After the flower is ready, it can be fixed with masking tape. If desired, stalk and leaves can be cut from green paper. The main advantage of this method of making flowers is the wide scope for creativity. Flowers can be given the most diverse form, it all depends on your desire!
